Implementation of project livestock activities in the respective areas including livestock re-stocking, quarantine, Deworming, Vaccination etc. in close coordination with line departments under the supervision of FSL & Climate Change officer.

Responsibilities

       Technical Level

  • Having technical knowledge of Agriculture and livestock (LEG) sectors etc
  • Knowledge of activity based costing for livestock interventions included in the project.
  • Community management skills to identify and select deserved beneficiaries based on project criteria.
  • Planning for smooth completion of the project.
  • Coordinating/Liaison with GLAs
  • Reports preparation for the livestock interventions.

    Operational Level

  • Coordination (internal & external stakeholders)
  • Record management (both soft & hard) related to job role.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems

    KEYACCOUNTABILITIES

    The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for: 

  • Regular coordination with the relevant stakeholders –livestock & dairy development & District Director Agriculture  and other humanitarian national and international NGOs and INGOs) 
  • Facilitate & support MEAL team in Baseline & end line survey (where applicable) & develop multiple reports with mutual consensus.
  • Develop multiple assessment formats with consultation of MEAL team, field team, technical specialist & concern authorities.
  • Identification, assessments and registration of beneficiary according to set criteria for livestock activities.
  • Management of beneficiary tracking sheet (MIS, management information system).
  • Close coordination with line Government Departments in designing of different livestock packages according to target areas.
  • Endorsement of livestock beneficiaries & packages from the concern department & District Administration with consultation of SPO/Senior Livelihood Officer
  • Develop success stories with the consultation of media and communication team
  • Proper maintain project before, during and after pictorial views for record keeping.
  • Document in a timely manner, all progress, challenges, and learning for future implementation of the similar projects and accountability.
  • Conduct regular field visits with 70% time in field, 10% Coordination with stakeholders and 20% for reporting.

     

  • PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Education:

  • Master / Bachelor in DVM Livestock with relevant experience. 

    Experience:

  • Minimum experience 01 years with Master or 02 years of Bachelor in relevant field.

    Computer/other Skills:

  • The candidate shall be computer literate and having good skills of MS office, MS excel and power point.
  • Motivation and skill enhancement (capacity development) of communities to increase their income level
  • Social mobilization for replication of the on-farm demonstrated techniques
  • Arrangement for  various training events of efficient techniques in different growing stages of crops
  • Good interpersonal skill

    Language:

  • Sindhi, Urdu, English and local languages 

    Value Added Skills 

  • Relevant experience of working with humanitarian/development sector/INGOs
  • Working knowledge of regional languages of Pakistan.
