Islamic Relief Pakistan is seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and quality standards. This role requires holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least two years of relevant experience or a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Engineering accompanied by three years of experience. The candidate will apply their knowledge primarily in the sectors of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) within urban development or humanitarian contexts. The Infrastructure Engineer will lead and supervise a team of 20 personnel, coordinating diverse efforts across various stages of infrastructure development to deliver timely and compliant project outcomes.
The Infrastructure Engineer plays a crucial role in managing project execution from initiation to completion. They are responsible for construction supervision, conducting quality assurance checks, and ensuring that safety and environmental protocols are upheld. Strong expertise in civil engineering principles and infrastructure project management will be essential to support sustainable development initiatives. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, contractors, and community partners, the Infrastructure Engineer will contribute to improved living conditions in targeted areas. This position demands excellent organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in challenging environments.
Responsibilities
Technical Level
Verify contractor measurements, IPCs, variation orders, and work completion certificatesMonitor project progress against approved work plans, budgets, and timelines.Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for infrastructure improvements.
Perform any task assigned by project lead as and when required.
Operational Level:
Development of work plans for timely implementation
Surveys, Data Collection & report generation
Record management – field visits, CO meetings, beneficiary data etc.

Bachelor / master’s degree in civil engineering (PEC Registered will be preferred), Infrastructure Management, Urban Development or related field/Degree.
Minimum experience in civil engineering and infrastructure projects, WASH, preferably in urban development, or humanitarian contexts.
2 years with Bachelor degree civil Engineering and 3 years with DAE (Civil Engineering )
MS Office, Outlook, AutoCAD (Mandatory ) Civil 3D (Preferred),Primavera (Preferred)
English, Urdu and Local Languages
Strong emotional intelligence and resilience, and able to maintain self-control in difficult situations.
Able to work under extreme conditions in field areas.
Good communication skills in local as well as English / Urdu language which delivers information with clarity in a wide range of situations.
