ISMMART Group of Industries is actively searching for a highly skilled and experienced Director of Logistics and Transportation to join our E-Commerce division. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain, meeting organizational goals, and exceeding customer requirements.

Job Description:

Logistics Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Collaborate with senior management to ensure logistics activities complement the overall business strategy.

Supply Chain Management:

Manage the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
Monitor and optimize the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Inventory Control:

Ensure optimal inventory levels, meeting customer demand while minimizing carrying costs.
Implement inventory management best practices, including demand forecasting and safety stock calculations.

Transportation Management:

Oversee the transportation network, selecting carriers, negotiating contracts, and managing the transportation budget.
Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.

Warehousing and Distribution:

Supervise warehouse and distribution center operations, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
Implement warehouse layout and process improvements.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and manage a team of logistics professionals.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations for a high-performing logistics department.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for reliable and cost-effective sources of goods.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and performance.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions.

Technology and Systems:

Implement and oversee logistics management software and systems for enhanced efficiency and visibility within the supply chain.

Cost Management:

Develop and manage the logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost control measures.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in logistics or supply chain management.
10-12 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
