The ideal candidate will direct audit and tax filing processes, provide timely financial reports, and establish efficient accounting systems to support the company’s financial integrity and operational success. By leading the accounts team, the Manager ensures accurate bookkeeping, timely tax submissions, and adherence to IRS regulations and other statutory requirements. A thorough knowledge of taxation management and strong organizational skills are essential. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of five accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Manage all financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other statutory filings in accordance with PRA and IRS regulations.
- Ensure effective management of accounts payable and receivable to maintain healthy cash flows and vendor relationships.
- Implement and maintain rigorous accounting controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent errors or fraud.
- Coordinate and support external audit processes, liaising with auditors to provide required documentation and resolve issues promptly.
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable tax laws and regulations, advising the company on compliance and risk mitigation.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle to streamline accounting processes and generate accurate financial statements.
- Develop and enforce policies for financial operations, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Train and mentor junior team members, promoting professional development and a collaborative work environment.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments to company practices.
- Manage audit and tax filing schedules to meet deadlines and avoid penalties.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
