Suzuki Motor House is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounts manager to lead our accounting department. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations and manage a team to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong expertise in account reconciliation and general ledger management. The accounts manager will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting strategic business decisions with reliable financial data. The candidate must have knowledge of the accounting software. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in commerce, such as a B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance), ACCA, ACMA, or CA inter, coupled with a minimum of two to three years’ experience in accounting or finance roles. A comprehensive understanding of sales tax, income tax, and Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) standards is mandatory. This position demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a high-pressure environment while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of five accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain proper financial records and optimize cash flow.
- Supervise general ledger maintenance, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate tax compliance activities, including sales tax, income tax, and PRA filings, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic financial planning.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting through effective use of ERP accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and resolve any identified issues promptly.
- Review and improve financial controls and accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency and minimize risks.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management and provide insights into financial performance and trends.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and industry best practices to maintain compliance and competitive advantage.
