Manager Accounts

Suzuki Motor House is seeking an experienced Manager Accounts to oversee the financial accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with financial reporting standards such as GAAP and IFRS. This role requires managing a team of five accounting professionals, guiding them in daily accounting functions, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The candidate must have a degree in commerce or relevant qualifications such as B.Com, M.Com, or ACCA, along with practical experience in sales tax, income tax, and PRA regulations. In this position, the Manager Accounts will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. Proficiency in ERP accounting software and financial reporting tools is essential for streamlining financial processes. The role also involves coordinating with auditors and tax authorities to ensure full compliance and optimizing financial controls and policies to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of five accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain proper financial records and optimize cash flow.
Supervise general ledger maintenance, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
Coordinate tax compliance activities, including sales tax, income tax, and PRA filings, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic financial planning.
Ensure accurate financial reporting through effective use of ERP accounting software and financial reporting tools.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and resolve any identified issues promptly.
Review and improve financial controls and accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency and minimize risks.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management and provide insights into financial performance and trends.
Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and industry best practices to maintain compliance and competitive advantage.
