Ravi Exchange Company is seeking a reliable and attentive Teller to join our financial services team. The Teller serves as the frontline representative, interacting directly with customers to process various banking transactions accurately and efficiently. This role requires a strong foundation in cash handling, customer service, and adherence to compliance and regulatory standards to ensure security and trust within the financial operations. Candidates must have at least an intermediate level of education and familiarity with basic accounting principles to support accurate transaction processing and record-keeping. In this position, the Teller focuses on maintaining the integrity of cash operations through diligent cash reconciliation and fraud detection practices. The role does not involve managing a team but plays a critical part in delivering excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally. Prior experience in the financial industry is preferred to help navigate complex transactional processes and uphold the company’s commitment to compliance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring the accurate counting and processing of money and negotiable instruments.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, resolving issues, and offering appropriate banking solutions.
- Adhere strictly to compliance procedures and regulatory requirements, keeping informed of changes in financial policies and guidelines.
- Conduct cash reconciliation at the beginning and end of each shift to maintain accurate cash balances and identify discrepancies immediately.
- Identify and prevent potential fraud by monitoring suspicious activities and following established fraud detection protocols.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all transactions and documents to support auditing and reporting requirements.
- Utilize basic accounting principles to verify transaction accuracy and support account balancing efforts.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth and transparent financial operations.
- Report any irregularities or compliance concerns to the appropriate management for swift resolution.
- Promote a positive experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing information regarding banking products and services.
