The Military College of Engineering is seeking a skilled IT support professional to join the Civil Engineering department. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems, and providing timely technical assistance to users. This position involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network connectivity, and assisting with the installation and maintenance of IT equipment, including CCTV systems. The role requires collaboration with the IT team to implement improvements and maintain documentation related to IT procedures and system configurations.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt technical support to users experiencing hardware or software problems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, networks, CCTV, and peripheral devices.
- Maintain accurate IT inventories and monitor system performance regularly.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and assist in resolving related issues.
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures such as antivirus software and access controls.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.

Required Qualifications
- Essential: Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in a 3-year program or Intermediate in Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
- Must possess skills in LAN, networking, and CCTV systems.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in IT support or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networks, computer hardening, and troubleshooting IT equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science is desirable.
- Candidates with 3 years of experience in a similar role will be given preference.

Candidates may be disqualified for any of the following reasons: having a third division in their academic record, weak academic profile, being current employees of NUST with less than one year of service without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Institution, pursuing a required degree at the time of application, or being medically unfit.
