The IT Infrastructure & Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the company’s IT environment. This full-time, on-site position involves managing servers, workstations, and critical IT systems to maintain stable performance throughout the facility. The role requires daily monitoring of system health, performing backups, applying necessary updates and patches, and managing user accounts and access permissions. Additionally, the administrator will support network equipment, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and maintain reliable internet and internal communications. Providing technical assistance to staff, resolving hardware and software problems, coordinating with external vendors, and contributing to IT documentation and security protocols are also key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and core IT infrastructure to ensure operational stability and security.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular backups, and apply updates and patches promptly.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with company policies.
- Support and maintain network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls; diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
- Ensure reliable internet connectivity and internal communication systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and procurement as needed.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, enforce security best practices, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Strong system administration skills, including server management, operating system configuration, and user account administration.
- Solid network administration expertise covering LAN/WAN management, switches, routers, firewalls, and network performance monitoring.
- Proven ability to provide hands-on technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues in industrial or office settings.
- Broad IT knowledge encompassing backup and recovery processes, security best practices, and basic database or application support.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, respond promptly to IT incidents, and communicate clearly with non-technical personnel.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
