IT Manager

We are seeking a dedicated IT Manager to lead and oversee the IT department’s operations within our organization. This full-time position is based in Karachi and operates during night hours from 8 PM to 5 AM, five days a week, aligning with US business hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, ensuring data security, and supporting business continuity through effective technology solutions and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage the daily operations and staff of the IT department, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Develop and implement IT policies and strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and hardware components.
- Ensure robust security measures are in place, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption, to protect company data and systems.
- Manage IT budgets and handle procurement processes for hardware, software, and other necessary resources.
- Provide leadership and support for new IT projects and system upgrades, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
- Supervise ongoing maintenance of IT systems to keep them updated and operating efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions to business operations.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan to guarantee business continuity in case of emergencies.
- Collaborate with other departments to assess their IT needs and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
- Train, mentor, and support IT staff to encourage continuous professional development and skill enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory IT requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of IT systems to verify security, efficiency, and compliance standards are met.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures to support transparency and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT management or a comparable leadership role.
- Strong expertise in network management, hardware, and software systems.
- In-depth knowledge of IT security practices and data protection regulations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications in IT management or network administration are highly desirable.
