IT Operations & Systems Administrator

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Operations and System Administration professional with a strong networking background to oversee and enhance our organization’s IT infrastructure. This role demands hands-on management of network troubleshooting, internet failover, firewall administration, switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, monitoring systems, on-premises servers, endpoint support, asset management, and SaaS platform administration. The ideal candidate will take initiative, improve operational visibility, and ensure business continuity through reliable and efficient infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily IT operations encompassing networking, systems administration, end-user support, and infrastructure availability.
- Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues across office and operational environments.
- Maintain internet failover readiness and coordinate continuity measures to minimize downtime.
- Administer firewall policies, VPN connectivity, and network access controls in line with operational and security requirements.
- Manage switches, VLANs, wireless networks, and access points to ensure stable internal connectivity and proper segmentation.
- Maintain and support on-premises servers and core infrastructure services.
- Monitor infrastructure health, network performance, uptime, latency, bandwidth utilization, and system alerts using centralized monitoring tools.
- Provide Windows-based user support, including installation, troubleshooting, device setup, and issue resolution.
- Manage organizational IT assets, including allocation, tracking, lifecycle visibility, and basic compliance controls.
- Administer SaaS platforms and internal productivity tools, handling account provisioning, access coordination, and operational support.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to enhance infrastructure reliability, operational visibility, and response times.
- Take ownership of recurring issues, identify root causes, and proactively recommend improvements to strengthen the IT environment.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in IT operations, system administration, and networking.
- Solid understanding of endpoint support, infrastructure monitoring, and operational ownership.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnostics, including experience with pfSense, MikroTik, and VPNs.
- Experience managing firewall and internet failover solutions.
- Familiarity with switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and access point support, particularly with Unified/UniFi devices.
- Competence in on-premises server administration and infrastructure monitoring tools such as Zabbix.
- Skilled in Windows endpoint installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SaaS administration and access coordination, Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, and Bitbucket.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
