IT Operations & Systems Administrator

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Operations and System Administration professional with a strong networking background to oversee and improve our organization's IT infrastructure. This role requires hands-on management of network troubleshooting, internet failover, firewall administration, switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, monitoring systems, on-premises servers, endpoint support, asset management, and SaaS administration. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, focused on enhancing operational visibility, and committed to ensuring business continuity through reliable infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily IT operations covering networking, systems administration, end-user support, and infrastructure availability. Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues across office and operational environments. Maintain internet failover readiness and coordinate continuity measures to minimize downtime. Administer firewall policies, VPN connectivity, and network access controls aligned with operational and security requirements. Manage switches, VLANs, wireless networks, and access points to ensure stable internal connectivity and proper segmentation. Maintain and support on-premises servers and core infrastructure services. Monitor infrastructure health, network performance, uptime, latency, bandwidth utilization, and system alerts using centralized monitoring tools. Provide Windows-based user support, including installation, troubleshooting, device setup, and issue resolution. Manage organizational IT assets, including allocation, tracking, lifecycle visibility, and basic compliance controls. Administer SaaS platforms and internal productivity tools, handling account provisioning, access coordination, and general operational support. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance infrastructure reliability, operational visibility, and issue response times. Take ownership of recurring issues, identify root causes, and proactively recommend improvements to strengthen the IT environment.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience in IT operations, system administration, and networking. Solid understanding of endpoint support, infrastructure monitoring, and operational ownership. Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnostics, firewall and internet failover management, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and access point support. Experience with on-premises server administration and Windows endpoint installation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with SaaS administration and access coordination. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to organizational growth and improvement. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Exposure to AWS Cloud and DevOps tools is an advantage. Experience with platforms and tools such as pfSense, MikroTik, VPNs, Zabbix monitoring, Unified/UniFi access points and switches, Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, and Bitbucket is highly valued.
