Network Squad is looking for a driven IT Sales & Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives and expand business opportunities across the UK market. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT networking, infrastructure solutions, system integration, and B2B technology sales. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation, excellent customer engagement, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to close deals efficiently. A thorough understanding of the UK technology landscape and a well-established network within SMEs, enterprises, system integrators, contractors, consultants, MSPs, and technology partners are highly desirable. Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills in English are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, generate, qualify, and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK. Employ proactive lead generation techniques such as cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, networking, referrals, industry events, exhibitions, and market research. Build and nurture strong relationships with SMEs, enterprises, system integrators, contractors, consultants, developers, MSPs, technology partners, and end customers.

Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to customer meetings, solution discussions, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing. Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate IT networking and infrastructure solutions. Promote a broad range of solutions including LAN/WAN networking, switches and routers, Wi-Fi and wireless solutions, firewalls and network security, structured cabling, CCTV and ELV solutions, access control and security systems, IT infrastructure and system integration, managed IT and support services, as well as Microsoft 365 and cloud solutions.

Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, presentations, and solution documents in collaboration with technical and pre-sales teams. Conduct customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and solution discussions. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure profitable business outcomes. Maintain and regularly update the sales pipeline and CRM records.

Consistently follow up with prospects and customers to convert opportunities into confirmed orders. Identify cross-selling, upselling, renewal, and repeat business opportunities. Coordinate with engineering, pre-sales, operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery and handover after sales closure. Monitor UK market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and emerging technology opportunities.

Attend UK industry events, exhibitions, networking events, and customer meetings to generate new business. Develop relationships with UK-based technology vendors, distributors, system integrators, contractors, and potential partners. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and business development plans. Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field. Between 10 and 15 years of professional experience in IT/ICT sales, business development, networking, infrastructure, system integration, ELV, or related technology sectors.

Proven track record in B2B technology sales and business development, preferably within the UK market. Strong technical knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure solutions, including LAN/WAN, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, firewalls, structured cabling, CCTV/ELV, and security systems. Demonstrated success in lead generation, client acquisition, negotiation, and deal closure.

In-depth knowledge of the UK IT/ICT market and established relationships with customers, system integrators, contractors, consultants, MSPs, vendors, distributors, or technology partners. Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Fortinet, Microsoft, CompTIA, or other networking/IT certifications are advantageous. A valid UK driving licence is preferred to support customer visits and business development activities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Familiarity with the UK IT/technology market and an established professional network is highly valued. Experience working with UK SMEs, enterprises, system integrators, contractors, consultants, MSPs, developers, technology vendors, or end customers is advantageous. Understanding of how IT networking and infrastructure projects are identified, sourced, proposed, negotiated, and delivered within the UK market is important.

This role is business-development and revenue-driven, requiring comfort with targets, proactive customer acquisition, regular follow-ups, negotiations, relationship building, and closing deals successfully.

Work Location: This position requires in-person attendance.
