Java Spring Boot Backend Developer - (Onsite Night Shift)

We are seeking a skilled Java Spring Boot Backend Developer to join our team onsite in Islamabad (I-8/4) for a night shift role. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in manual coding, focusing on building production-ready backend systems without relying on AI-generated code. This position requires strong expertise in developing RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and working with PostgreSQL databases. Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is essential. Familiarity with Angular frontend development is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and support backend applications based on Microservices architecture.
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code through manual development practices.
- Utilize PostgreSQL for data modeling, query optimization, migrations, and performance tuning.
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms including GCP and AWS.
- Integrate backend services with frontend applications and third-party APIs.
- Participate actively in code reviews, debugging, testing, and providing production support.
- Adhere to best practices for security, logging, error handling, and API design.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, QA teams, and frontend developers to deliver reliable and scalable features.

Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Java Spring Boot development.
- Strong background in building REST APIs and Microservices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop applications manually with solid coding fundamentals, without dependence on AI tools.
- Proficient in PostgreSQL database management and optimization.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), collections, exception handling, and basic multithreading concepts.
- Familiarity with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Experience using Git for version control and working within Agile/Scrum development workflows.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Angular frontend development is a plus.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Unit and integration testing experience using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
