We are looking for a professional web developer who is well versed in the best practices of building modern and responsive web apps with an ability to design and implement an architecture where Web apps, Android, and IOS can share core information and all these apps can scale and are responsive to the end users.
The existing website is built in PHP (Symfony). It is hosted using Amazon web services and leverages the following technologies from AWS
- Elastic Compute Load (EC2)
- Elastic Load Balancing (ELB)
- CodeCommit – Private Git Repository
- Amazon’s CodePipeline – as a versioning tool, for the automated release process
- Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) – for storage
The developer’s immediate focus will be to maintain ongoing services of the website whilst implementing new user interfaces and features together with automated unit and integration tests and modernizing the website.
We are looking for a great JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary work will be to develop user interface components and implement them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products are important.
Responsibilities:
- Developing new user-facing features using React.js
- Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
- Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
Skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
- Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
Programming Languages: JavaScript, PHP (preferably Symfony framework), React.js
Framework: React (for front-end),
Exposure to React Native for android and Swift for iOS is useful but not necessary
Database: MongoDB
