Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Data Quality Audits (DQA) across human and animal health sentinel sites. This role requires a strong background in monitoring and evaluation, field supervision, and technical reporting to ensure the integrity and reliability of health data. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the DQA process, from logistical coordination to data collection and analysis, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the comprehensive planning and implementation of Data Quality Audits across designated sentinel sites in both human and animal health sectors. You will ensure that all DQA activities strictly follow approved methodologies, tools, and scoring frameworks to maintain consistency and accuracy. Coordination of logistics, including scheduling site visits and maintaining communication with participating institutions, will be a critical part of your role.
You will actively lead and participate in field data collection activities such as conducting interviews, performing observations, and verifying data using standardized DQA checklists. Supervising data collection teams is essential to guarantee uniformity in data capture and scoring across all sites.
Once data collection is complete, you will collate and analyze findings on various quality dimensions including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, precision, confidentiality, and data security. Your analysis will culminate in drafting a consolidated DQA report that presents site-specific results, aggregated insights, and actionable recommendations aimed at improving data quality.
Collaboration with Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Technical Experts is vital to validate the technical findings and ensure that recommendations are both practical and scientifically sound. This partnership will enhance the credibility and impact of the audit outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), particularly in field supervision and stakeholder engagement. Proven experience in data analysis, interpretation, and the production of comprehensive technical reports is essential.
Familiarity with national health data systems such as DHIS2, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), WHONET, and AMR dashboards is required to effectively navigate and assess data quality within these platforms.
Excellent coordination skills are necessary to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain clear, effective communication throughout the audit process. Additionally, proficiency in using standardized audit tools and checklists for health data quality assessment is critical to ensure methodological rigor and consistency.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While not explicitly stated, candidates with prior experience working in health data quality audits or related fields will be highly regarded. The role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to improving health data systems, which are crucial for informed decision-making and policy development in both human and animal health sectors.
This position provides a platform to work closely with technical experts and institutions at the forefront of antimicrobial resistance monitoring, offering professional growth and the chance to impact public health outcomes positively.
