Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Professional to manage Period End Close (PEC) activities and ensure timely and accurate group financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. This role requires close coordination with external auditors, presentation of financial updates to the Board Audit Committee, and strict adherence to Nestle Accounting Standards (NAS). The successful candidate will also maintain balance sheet integrity and collaborate with shared services teams to uphold service quality across key financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute Period End Close (PEC) activities with precision, ensuring all group reporting is completed within established deadlines.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards such as IAS and IFRS, as well as local laws and regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors during half-yearly reviews and full-year audits, facilitating smooth audit processes.
- Present comprehensive financial updates and insights to the Board Audit Committee on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure full compliance with Nestle Accounting Standards (NAS) in all accounting and reporting activities.
- Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet by performing regular reconciliations and resolving open line items promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the above-market shared services team to manage end-to-end financial processes, including Source to Pay (S2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Record to Report (R2R), ensuring service delivery aligns with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Manage the accuracy and compliance of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Fixed Assets processes, including the capitalization and deletion of fixed assets, ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with FICO SAP Modules.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Companies Act, and the Code of Corporate Governance.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing Period End Close (PEC) activities efficiently.
- Excellent relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate financial information clearly and professionally.
