Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations across multiple studio locations. This role involves managing monthly profit and loss statements, cash flow summaries, budgeting, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will provide critical financial insights to support strategic business decisions and ensure operational efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business operations, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and cash flow summaries, ensuring accuracy and timely record-keeping.
- Maintain detailed records of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) across all studios and evaluate Return on Investment (ROI) to support business growth initiatives.
- Generate and distribute daily revenue reports, including run rates for different business lines, to monitor progress against monthly targets.
- Collaborate with business leads to forecast monthly profits based on current run rates and financial trends.
- Analyze financial data related to variable costs, gross profit margins, and profit/loss across various business lines and programs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights on financial performance and operational effectiveness, preparing and presenting quarterly financial results to senior management.
- Regularly update financial models by gaining a comprehensive understanding of business operations and market conditions.
- Manage budgets and financial forecasts to align with organizational goals and growth plans.
- Oversee payroll processing, including variable payroll for instructors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle payroll finances in accordance with contract terms and respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries, providing salary slips as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements by preparing and submitting monthly sales tax returns and withholding taxes.
- Coordinate with external consultants to ensure timely annual compliance with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) regulations, and manage resolution of any government notices.
- Distribute tax certificates and CPRs to relevant parties upon request.
- Conduct quarterly audits of studio assets, update inventory records, and report any discrepancies to stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow and cash collection processes at studio locations, designing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cash handling, safekeeping, and transfers to the head office.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliation of branch-level cash transactions to ensure adherence to company policies.
- Administer vendor and landlord payments on a weekly and monthly basis, including managing withholding tax deductions and deposits.
- Monitor studio-level expenses closely to ensure resource efficiency within approved budgets.
- Maintain procurement and inventory records for smaller revenue streams, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a multi-location or studio-based business environment.
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll management.
- Familiarity with tax regulations, compliance requirements, and government reporting procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
