Senior Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Professional to manage the end-to-end financial closing process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role involves preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with both local and international accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support financial reporting and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete financial closing process, including data entry, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and uploading documentation to Cognos.
- Ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and within established deadlines to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and comply with accounting policies.
- Account for all transactions affecting accounting modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank, and Cash.
- Maintain compliance with local and international accounting standards throughout all financial processes.
- Support both internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation and clear explanations as required.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies within the Record to Report (R2R) cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and enhance financial reporting processes.
- Liaise with various departments to gather relevant financial information and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date financial records and documentation to ensure accessibility for audit purposes.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities in all aspects of data entry and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing the financial closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, MS Dynamics 365, or Oracle.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.
