Job Summary
The Data Entry and Record Keeping Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the employment and internship placement efforts for graduates and final-year students. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive placement records, engaging with industry partners, and assisting in the coordination of job fairs and career-related events. Acting as a vital liaison between students and employers, the specialist ensures smooth communication and efficient management of data to facilitate successful placement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Student Database Management: Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of student profiles, including CVs, academic branch, session, campus details, eligibility criteria, placement status, and employer feedback. Utilize MS Excel and other MS Office tools to organize and manage this data effectively. Regularly communicate with students to provide updates on job opportunities and placement activities.
Employer Engagement: Support the development and maintenance of relationships with potential employers through consistent communication, including calls, emails, and follow-ups. This engagement helps build a strong network of industry contacts to enhance placement opportunities.
Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of on-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and career counseling sessions. Coordinate interactions between students and employers during these events to ensure a seamless experience for all parties involved.
Documentation & Reporting: Compile, maintain, and update reports related to placement statistics, student tracking, and employer outreach. Ensure that all data is accurately stored in relevant software systems for easy retrieval and analysis.
Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between students and employers by providing guidance on job opportunities, required documentation, and placement procedures. Facilitate clear and timely communication to support successful placements.
Data Entry & Accuracy: Enter and update placement-related data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain data integrity across all reports and records to support informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to manage data and documentation efficiently.
- Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with students and employers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple placement activities and meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player across various departments.
- A proactive problem-solving mindset with the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Basic knowledge of career services or recruitment processes is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- This is a full-time, in-person role offering a monthly salary of Rs 45,000.
