Production Supervisor (Mining)

Job Summary
We are looking for a committed and experienced Field Supervisor to manage mining site operations, ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe execution of daily activities. This role involves overseeing all facets of mining operations, including excavation, loading, and unloading of overburden material. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, a deep commitment to safety, and the capability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external contractors to uphold high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily toolbox talks before each shift to reinforce safety awareness among all personnel.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and Level IV documentation to guarantee consistent operational practices.
- Supervise and coordinate all mining activities such as excavation, loading, and unloading of overburden, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
- Conduct shift-wise inspections of the mining site in line with the daily operational plan to monitor safety and productivity.
- Oversee equipment performance and inspection routines to minimize downtime and prevent hazards.
- Manage both routine and non-routine mining activities, ensuring smooth site operations at all times.
- Collaborate closely with senior mining operators and the geology team to ensure mining plans are executed accurately and effectively.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations to reduce accidents and environmental impact.
- Supervise contractor activities related to road, ramp, and bench repairs, ensuring they meet safety standards and project deadlines.
- Perform regular inspections of dumpsites and resting shelters, conducting quality checks to maintain operational standards.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless field operations.
- Provide timely progress reports and updates on ongoing repair work and other activities.
- Ensure prompt closure of any pending rectification points and observations identified during field inspections.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities, fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence across the mining site.

Required Qualifications
- Graduation or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mining or a closely related field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in mining operations or a similar supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and sustainable mining practices.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: Rs 100,000 to Rs 170,000 per month
Work Location: On-site (In person)
