Job Summary
Innovative Business Solutions is seeking a skilled professional for a 12-month contract role with a leading multinational oil and gas distribution company. This position focuses on planning, scheduling, and controlling project implementation at the terminal level. The successful candidate will ensure projects are executed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with quality, Health, Environment, and Safety (HES), and Operational Excellence (OE) standards. The role requires close coordination with contractors and terminal staff to guarantee all work aligns with design specifications and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to manage project implementation effectively, balancing budget constraints, timelines, and quality requirements while adhering to HES and OE standards. This includes detailed planning, scheduling, and control of terminal-level projects. The candidate will oversee daily project activities, including site supervision and contractor management, ensuring all work meets design specifications and industry standards.
Monitoring contractor performance is critical to ensure timely completion within budget and compliance with safety and design requirements. The role involves reviewing and interpreting contract design documents from consultants to verify that materials and workmanship conform to agreed specifications. Maintaining the project schedule is essential, requiring continuous progress tracking, coordination of activities, and prompt resolution of any issues.
Effective communication between contractors and terminal staff is vital, especially during off days or shutdown periods necessary for project tasks. The candidate will conduct physical verification of materials delivered on-site and assess work progress to facilitate accurate contractor payments based on actual work completed. Identifying deviations or scope increases in project timelines and informing the Project Manager for approval of scope changes is also required.
Resource planning, establishing work methodologies, and collaborating with HES teams to ensure safe project execution are key components of the role. The candidate will prepare and submit progress reports for management review and implement actions as directed by the Project Manager. Additionally, compiling project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends is necessary to recommend appropriate actions.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment is a priority, with strict adherence to work permitting procedures, rules, and regulations enforced throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Civil disciplines. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of project management experience is required, ideally within the oil and gas sector. Proven ability to manage projects effectively while ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards is essential.
Strong coordination skills are necessary to manage multiple stakeholders and oversee contractor performance efficiently. Experience in preparing detailed progress and status reports is also required to support project monitoring and decision-making.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site contract position based in Shikarpur. The contract duration is 12 months, offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs120,000 to Rs150,000.
