This role encompasses handling complex transactions such as bankruptcy restructurings, private deals, bank debt amendments, and proxy voting. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams—including bank debt processing, trade processing, accounting, pricing, legal, tax, compliance, and investment professionals—as well as external parties like custodians, outside counsel, and agents. This position is vital to maintaining the integrity of Oaktree’s books and records while ensuring full compliance with internal procedures and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager will oversee the processing of corporate action events across multiple accounts, funds, and special purpose vehicles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. They will confirm the details of bankruptcy restructuring transactions through ongoing communication with investment professionals and various internal departments such as accounting, tax, legal, compliance, and pricing.

The Senior Manager will monitor compliance with event processing timelines and validate adherence to daily procedures and audit requirements.

Resolving discrepancies related to position and cash reconciliations stemming from corporate actions will require collaboration with relevant teams. Additionally, the role includes capturing and analyzing data to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and managing relationships with subscribed vendors and service providers.

The Senior Manager will also review and update departmental procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance, while building and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external service providers such as attorneys, agents, and custodians. Additional projects and tasks will be assigned as necessary.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is required, along with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to perform well under pressure are important. The role demands proven problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and process improvement, as well as strong quantitative and analytical capabilities. A high level of integrity, professionalism, and a flexible, team-oriented mindset are critical. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
