Powerflex Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled IT professional with a robust background in software-defined storage technologies and extensive hands-on experience with PowerFlex architecture in both rack and appliance configurations. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in implementing, managing, and upgrading VMware environments, including VCenter, ESXi, and networking switches from top vendors such as Cisco and Dell. A deep understanding of Cisco Nexus switches—specifically the Nexus 3000 and 9000 series—is essential. Additionally, familiarity with network virtualization and automation platforms like VMware NSX and Cisco ACI will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, and upgrading software-defined storage solutions will be a primary focus, with particular emphasis on PowerFlex architecture across rack and appliance formats. You will be responsible for managing and executing upgrades and maintenance tasks for VMware VCenter and ESXi hosts, ensuring these environments operate at peak performance and maintain strong security standards.

Another critical aspect of the role involves configuring and maintaining network switches, especially Cisco and Dell models, to support seamless data center operations. You will administer Cisco Nexus switch families, including the Nexus 3000 and 9000 series, to guarantee network reliability and efficiency.

Collaboration is key in this position. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate storage and networking solutions within the VMware ecosystem. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to storage, virtualization, and networking infrastructure will also be part of your daily responsibilities.

Staying current with emerging technologies in software-defined storage and network virtualization is essential to recommend and implement improvements that enhance system performance and scalability.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of software-defined storage technologies and principles. Proven experience with PowerFlex architecture, including deployments in both rack and appliance formats, is required.

Hands-on expertise in VMware VCenter and ESXi implementation and upgrades is essential. You should also be proficient in managing and configuring networking switches from Cisco and Dell.

A deep, working knowledge of Cisco Nexus switch families—particularly the Nexus 3000 and 9000 series—is mandatory for this role.
