Job Summary
We are looking for a committed Fabric Production Coordinator to manage and oversee daily fabric manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that all production activities meet quality standards, maintain efficient workflows, and achieve timely delivery of fabric orders. The successful candidate will coordinate production efforts across multiple departments, perform rigorous quality inspections, and maintain detailed records to support ongoing process improvements. Key Responsibilities
The Fabric Production Coordinator will monitor daily fabric production to uphold quality standards and ensure smooth operational flow. You will assist in planning and scheduling fabric orders, aligning production timelines with customer demands and organizational goals. Close coordination with knitting, weaving, dyeing, and finishing departments is essential to track fabric movement and quickly resolve any production delays.
Conducting thorough quality inspections of fabric rolls is a critical part of this role. You will identify defects, shrinkage issues, GSM (grams per square meter) variations, and shade inconsistencies to maintain product excellence. Maintaining accurate records of fabric inventory, production reports, and wastage data is necessary to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
Additionally, you will support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, recommending improvements to fabric flow, utilization, and overall operational efficiency. Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and standard operating procedures across all fabric-related processes is mandatory to maintain a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience in fabric production monitoring or a related field is highly desirable. A strong understanding of fabric manufacturing processes—including knitting, weaving, dyeing, and finishing—is essential.
The role requires the ability to perform detailed quality inspections and interpret technical fabric specifications accurately. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are necessary for maintaining precise records. Effective communication and coordination skills are vital for collaborating with multiple departments. A firm commitment to upholding health and safety standards in the workplace is also required.
