Job Summary
A well-established organization is seeking a qualified Site Engineer to join a Third Party Monitoring and Validation Project based in Sindh Province. This role primarily involves field supervision and technical monitoring of infrastructure development works, with a focus on irrigation, roads, and water supply schemes. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction activities adhere to quality standards, approved designs, and technical specifications. This position requires hands-on involvement in multiple project sites to maintain compliance and support effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
The Site Engineer will supervise daily field activities related to the construction of infrastructure projects, ensuring strict quality assurance and adherence to design specifications and standards. Regular site inspections and progress monitoring across various locations will be essential to track project advancement and identify any deviations. The engineer will verify that construction work aligns with approved designs, technical drawings, and specifications.

Coordination with contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders is critical to facilitate smooth execution of site works and resolve any operational challenges. The candidate will prepare and submit comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting issues and recommending practical solutions. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations at all project sites is mandatory.

Additionally, the Site Engineer will support the Environmental Engineer and Social Specialist in implementing environmental and social safeguards on-site. They will assist in verifying Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) and contractor claims to ensure accuracy and transparency. Active participation in client meetings, technical briefings, and validation checks is expected as part of the third-party monitoring team.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant field experience is required, preferably with infrastructure projects funded by government or donor agencies. Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure development, particularly in irrigation, road works, and water supply schemes, is essential.

Proven experience in field supervision, quality assurance/control, and contractor coordination is necessary. Familiarity with construction standards, technical specifications, and safety procedures is expected. The candidate should possess excellent communication, documentation, and report-writing skills. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software is required. The role demands the ability to travel frequently and work independently across various field locations throughout Sindh.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience in Third Party Monitoring and/or Validation projects will be considered an advantage. This is a contract-based position with a duration of 24 months. The monthly remuneration for this role ranges from Rs60,000 to Rs80,000. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline on 30th June 2025.
