Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Development Executive with a minimum of one year’s experience in generating business through Upwork. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of online bidding, proposal writing, and the ability to uncover new business opportunities within the digital services domain. This role demands a proactive professional who can engage effectively with potential clients, collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, and drive the company’s growth by securing projects on freelancing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients and projects on Upwork and other freelancing platforms to expand the business pipeline.
- Actively generate new business by submitting well-crafted, persuasive proposals and bidding strategically on relevant projects.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Work closely with the technical team to thoroughly understand project requirements, ensuring proposals are tailored and accurate.
- Utilize CRM software to manage client interactions, monitor sales activities, and maintain timely follow-ups for effective pipeline management.
- Negotiate project terms, pricing, and deliverables with clients to successfully close deals and maximize revenue.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of potential clients and projects, tracking all communications and project statuses.
- Consistently achieve monthly sales targets, contributing directly to the company’s overall business growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to continuously refine and improve bidding strategies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of proven experience in business development through Upwork or similar freelancing platforms.
- Demonstrated success in closing deals and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the online bidding process and expertise in writing compelling proposals.
- Proficiency in using CRM software for managing client relationships and sales pipelines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic understanding of IT services and digital marketing is preferred but not mandatory.
