Job Summary
We are seeking a Treasury Technology Banking Functional Consultant to lead comprehensive treasury system implementations for client banks. In this role, you will manage the entire project lifecycle—from initial scoping and drafting Functional Specification Documents (FSD) to overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting go-live activities. Serving as a critical bridge between business and technology teams, you will ensure treasury processes such as money markets, FX, derivatives, capital markets, liquidity, and risk management are accurately captured in system functionalities while complying with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Scoping:
Lead workshops with treasury, finance, risk, and IT stakeholders both on-site and remotely. Document existing processes, identify pain points, and capture regulatory requirements including CRR/SLR, Basel III, and IFRS 9. Develop the Business Requirements Document (BRD) and define the initial high-level project scope.
FSD & Solution Design:
Translate business needs into detailed Functional Specification Documents covering workflows, data fields, limits, pricing, interfaces, and reporting. Conduct gap-fit analyses against target Treasury Management Systems (TMS) or custom solutions, recommending necessary configurations or extensions. Obtain sign-off from client stakeholders and internal development teams.
Configuration & Integration:
Configure treasury products such as money markets, FX, derivatives, securities, limits, and accounting rules. Specify and test interfaces with Core Banking Systems like T24, Flexcube, and Silverlake, as well as market data feeds, SWIFT, and regulatory reporting engines. Collaborate with technical teams on data migration, ETL mappings, and automation scripting.
Testing (SIT / UAT):
Design comprehensive test scenarios and traceability matrices. Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), manage defect triage and resolution. Prepare UAT materials, coach bank users, monitor progress, and secure final approvals.
Training & Change Management:
Develop user manuals, quick-reference guides, and e-learning content. Deliver classroom and hands-on training for front, middle, and back-office teams. Guide users on updated operating procedures and controls.
Go-Live & Post-Implementation:
Plan cut-over activities including data loads, parallel runs, and contingency plans. Provide on-site hyper-care support, track and resolve issues until closure. Facilitate smooth handover to production support and SLA governance teams.
