Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Cosmetic Formulation Chemist to join our team based in Lahore. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing innovative cosmetic products such as face washes, serums, and creams. Additionally, you will be responsible for refining existing formulations to enhance their stability, efficacy, and overall performance. This position requires a strong grasp of modern cosmetic ingredients, active compounds, and formulation systems, with an emphasis on tailoring products to diverse skin types and current market demands. Hands-on laboratory experience and strict adherence to cosmetic regulations are essential, alongside a commitment to clean beauty principles.

Key Responsibilities
Developing new cosmetic formulations will be your primary focus, including products like face washes, serums, and creams. You will also work on improving existing formulations to boost product stability and performance. Customizing formulations based on specific skin types, client requirements, and evolving market trends is a key part of this role.

You will apply your in-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and raw materials, working proficiently with various formulation systems such as emulsions, gels, suspensions, and surfactant systems. Ensuring ingredient compatibility, product aesthetics, and a desirable skin feel will be critical to your success.

Staying updated on global skincare trends and innovations in formulation technology is expected. You will incorporate clean beauty concepts, including sulfate-free, paraben-free, and vegan formulations, to meet consumer demand for safer and more natural products.

Maintaining familiarity with cosmetic regulations and ensuring proper documentation of formulations is essential. You will also be responsible for understanding laboratory processes, operating equipment, and conducting formulation testing procedures to guarantee product quality.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or a Master’s degree in Chemistry. You should have between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the cosmetics manufacturing industry.

A strong knowledge of active ingredients such as Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, AHA/BHA, and Peptides is required to effectively develop and improve cosmetic formulations.

Additional Information
This position is based in Lahore, specifically near Gajumata Mian Kacha Kahna Road, Zain Industrial Estate. Applications will only be accepted from candidates currently residing in Lahore.

The work schedule is full-time, Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role requires on-site presence to collaborate closely with the manufacturing and quality teams.

Compensation for this role ranges from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, reflecting the candidate’s experience and expertise.
