Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and ethical professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager – Compliance. This pivotal role ensures that all restaurants and business units strictly adhere to internal controls, regulatory mandates, and company policies. The position demands regular field visits, comprehensive reporting, and close collaboration with outlet managers and cross-functional teams to uphold the highest compliance standards across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Audits:
You will conduct both scheduled and surprise inventory audits at Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) outlets. This involves verifying the accuracy and completeness of inventory records, analyzing variance reports to detect discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions aimed at minimizing stock loss or misuse.
Quality Audits:
Regular audits focusing on food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness will be performed in line with company guidelines. You will ensure compliance with HACCP standards and local food authority regulations, promptly reporting any deviations and working with operations teams to implement corrective measures.
Financial & Cash Handling Audits:
This includes auditing Point of Sale (POS) data against reported sales records and reviewing daily sales reconciliations to confirm adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also conduct petty cash audits, analyze vendor sheets, and identify any fraudulent activities or mismanagement of funds.
Payroll & Attendance Audits:
You will review staff rosters, biometric attendance logs, and payroll disbursements to ensure proper documentation and validation of overtime and other claims. Compliance with minimum wage laws and labor regulations will be closely monitored.
Operational SOP Audits:
Monitoring outlet staff adherence to brand standards, training guidelines, and SOPs is essential. This includes checks on order preparation times, packaging standards, and customer service protocols to maintain operational excellence.
Regulatory & Licensing Compliance:
You will verify that all outlets possess valid licenses, food authority certifications, and health/safety approvals. Ensuring timely renewals and proper documentation of all legal requirements is a critical responsibility.
Risk Assessment & Internal Controls:
Identifying weaknesses in internal controls and suggesting process improvements will be part of your role. You will also monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to strengthen the compliance framework.
Reporting & Documentation:
Preparation of detailed audit reports, including findings, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans, is required. Maintaining a comprehensive audit trail and records for future reference and legal compliance is essential.
Training & Awareness:
You will conduct training sessions for outlet teams on compliance standards and audit readiness, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of audit or compliance experience, preferably in the QSR industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, food safety standards, labor laws, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and POS/reporting software.
- Willingness to travel extensively to various outlet locations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- High ethical standards with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Advanced qualifications such as MBA, ACCA, or CIA are preferred.
- This is a full-time position offering a monthly salary ranging from Rs 80,000 to Rs 110,000.
- The role requires in-person presence at outlet locations to ensure effective compliance monitoring.
