The company is structured as a matrix of six geographical regions and ten platforms, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. We are seeking an experienced professional to manage trade execution and documentation, primarily focusing on cotton procurement and related processes.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing all trade-related documentation, including trade contracts, purchase and sale invoices, delivery challans, delivery orders, and goods receipt notes. This role requires close supervision of cotton execution documents and coordination with field selectors to ensure effective cotton procurement.
Daily calculation of Mark to Market (MTM) counterparty risk is a critical task, alongside overseeing workflow coordination with the finance department for booking purchases, sales, transfers, and other related transactions in the system. You will verify the accuracy of all documentation, including sales tax calculations, transport permits, waybills, carrier responsibilities, and dispatch documentation to ensure compliance and correctness.
Monthly stock closing procedures are integral to this position, involving stock reconciliation, physical verification reports, and preparation of monthly stock reports. You will also liaise with all stakeholders involved in the cotton trade, such as brokers, ginners, customers, and cotton selectors, to maintain smooth operations.
Reviewing and verifying vendor and service provider bills against work orders for authenticity and accuracy is essential. You will examine legal documents related to scope and expiry, making necessary amendments to comply with regulatory, business, or legal standards. Proper filing and maintenance of all documents for future reference and audit purposes are also required.
Generating and releasing reports on a daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and yearly basis will be part of your routine. Maintaining and updating inventory files daily, managing cotton positions, and assisting with cotton import processes are additional responsibilities. When issues arise, you will escalate them to higher management as needed.
