Job Summary
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) project in Pakistan is seeking a motivated Enumerator to assist with data collection activities in Rahim Yar Khan and Jacobabad. This role focuses on systematically capturing and monitoring displacement and population mobility through both face-to-face and telephonic interviews. The Enumerator will operate under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant (Provincial Coordination) and the overall guidance of the DTM Coordinator. The position requires accuracy and timeliness in data collection within areas experiencing significant migration and mobility. This is a contractual role offering a daily wage of PKR 7,000, which includes travel and communication expenses.

Key Responsibilities
The Enumerator will support the identification of potential Key Informants and facilitators to aid data collection efforts. Daily review of scanned data collection forms for errors is essential, along with physical verification of hard copies during field visits. Regular field visits are required to monitor enumerators’ performance, providing constructive guidance and feedback to enhance data quality.

Timely data entry into KOBO is critical, ideally on the same day interviews are conducted. The Enumerator will verify the accuracy and completeness of collected data and provide ongoing training to enumerators on survey protocols. Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols during all field activities is mandatory.

The role also involves updating progress tracking sheets daily and sharing enumerator progress reports with provincial DTM focal persons. Maintaining consistent communication with enumerators is vital to promptly resolve any field challenges. The Enumerator will supervise the team’s WhatsApp group to ensure live location sharing among members.

Upholding data integrity and protection standards in line with IOM’s Data Protection Manual is a key responsibility. Participation in briefings, orientation sessions, and training as required is expected. The Enumerator must represent the program professionally during all assignments.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of a secondary school diploma from an accredited institution. Undergraduate degree holders and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Fluency in Urdu is mandatory for effective communication within the project areas.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution is considered an advantage. Prior experience in conducting face-to-face or telephonic interviews for data collection is preferred. Proficiency in additional Pakistani languages such as Balochi, Pashto, Punjabi, or Sindhi is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse communities.
