The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing logistics systems and activities at the capital office and supporting bases across the Pakistan Mission. This role involves initiating and overseeing logistics operations, including procurement, international shipments, customs clearance, warehouse management, and audit facilitation. The officer will ensure accountable and efficient logistics support for Action Against Hunger (ACF) programs. Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Officer will support the Logistics Manager and the Pakistan mission team by preparing logistics data, tracking sheets, and supply plans to keep the team regularly informed. They will assist in producing timely, high-quality logistics inputs for proposals and reports submitted to funding agencies.
Representing ACF at relevant coordination forums, the officer will establish networks for effective information sharing. They will ensure compliance with ACF logistics regulations throughout the mission and support logistical activities at both capital and base levels. Monitoring adherence to logistical commitments made to donors and ensuring timely implementation is a critical part of this role.
The officer will maintain safety standards, including electrical safety, across all emergency program sites. They will oversee local, national, and international procurement processes, ensuring compliance with ACF and donor requirements while coordinating with various stakeholders.
Managing freight transportation by land, sea, and air, the officer will ensure alignment with program budgets and delivery schedules. They will coordinate customs clearance, shipment storage, exemptions, and documentation in line with ACF policies.
Warehouse and premises management according to ACF standards is essential, including implementing stock management and administration systems. The officer will monitor project stock levels and coordinate replenishment to meet ongoing demands.
Facility management responsibilities include security, asset maintenance, power and water supply, and compliance with health and safety standards across all sites. All procurements must be conducted transparently and within timelines to support positive green audit outcomes.
Participation in weekly logistics team meetings will help align priorities and activities. The officer will maintain a global overview of procurement follow-up, including orders, backorders, and stock levels, and act as the focal point for international procurement inquiries from other departments.
They will prepare and renew long-term agreements and contracts within set deadlines and upload procurement records on relevant platforms in accordance with ACF standards. Regular reporting, including weekly, monthly, and project-end reports with procurement follow-up trackers and contract updates, is required.
Supporting the logistics manager, the officer will assist with supplier communications, order follow-ups, and price updates. They will also support logistics team members by understanding their roles and providing backup as needed.
Maintaining and updating the supplier database, conducting market visits, and evaluating supplier performance annually are key tasks. The officer will identify potential supplier risks and promptly report any conflicts of interest or disputes.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold either a Master’s degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in these fields with at least five years of relevant experience.
