Job Summary
The Manager Construction will lead and oversee all construction and renovation activities for retail store projects, ensuring alignment with brand standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. This role demands close collaboration with architects, designers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality retail environments on schedule and within budget. The Manager will also be responsible for conducting site evaluations, managing vendor relationships, and supervising on-site operations to maintain safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the entire lifecycle of construction and renovation projects for retail stores, from initial planning through to final handover. This includes coordinating with architects, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and project objectives are met.
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and local building regulations throughout all phases of construction. Develop, monitor, and report on project budgets and timelines, proactively addressing any risks or delays.
Conduct thorough site evaluations and feasibility assessments to inform project planning and decision-making. Oversee vendor negotiations, contract management, and procurement processes to secure the best terms and maintain project efficiency.
Supervise on-site teams and daily construction activities to ensure smooth operations, safety compliance, and high-quality workmanship. Address any post-opening snag lists, coordinate ongoing maintenance, and manage the final handover procedures to guarantee client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, is required. Candidates should have a minimum of six years’ experience in construction management within the retail or textile industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and local building codes is essential. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results within deadlines and budget constraints, is critical.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth project execution and stakeholder alignment.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive monthly salary starting from Rs180,000. The role requires an in-person presence at project sites to effectively manage on-site activities and ensure project success.
