Job Summary
We are looking for a proficient Biomedical Equipment Technician to oversee and maintain all medical equipment within our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of medical devices. This role demands a hands-on, proactive approach to performing emergency repairs and routine preventative maintenance, ensuring that all equipment operates safely and reliably at all times. Additionally, the technician will be expected to undertake any other responsibilities assigned by their immediate supervisor, contributing to the smooth functioning of the medical equipment department.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for managing all tasks related to medical equipment, including identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Independently diagnose faults and malfunctions in various medical devices using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Troubleshoot and repair medical equipment efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
- Respond swiftly to emergency repair requests to ensure critical medical devices remain functional during urgent situations.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and extend its service life.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to understand equipment needs and provide technical support when necessary.

Required Qualifications
- A diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related technical field is essential.
- At least two years of hands-on experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment, specifically dealing with medical equipment maintenance and repair.
