Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing all supply chain functions at a single distribution center, ensuring seamless operations across warehousing, logistics, inventory control, dispatch, cash recovery, and branch administration. This role requires close collaboration with commercial, finance, and sales teams to maintain product availability, optimize dispatch processes, and ensure strict compliance with company policies. The manager will drive operational excellence by effectively managing resources and leading staff to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Center Operations:
Manage all inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely dispatches to customers and trade partners. Supervise warehouse personnel to maintain accuracy and operational efficiency. Monitor vehicle utilization and oversee daily delivery performance to meet service standards.
Inventory & Warehouse Management:
Maintain optimal inventory levels through accurate system updates and physical stock verification. Implement storage best practices such as FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) to preserve product quality. Ensure warehouse safety, hygiene, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Cash Recovery:
Oversee timely and complete cash collection from sales and delivery activities. Maintain precise documentation and reconcile daily cash collections. Coordinate with finance and audit teams to ensure prompt deposits and accurate reporting.
Branch Administration:
Manage daily branch operations including facility maintenance, office supplies, and administrative support. Enforce company policies and procedures at the branch level. Work closely with HR, Admin, and Finance departments on branch-related administrative matters.
Transportation & Dispatch:
Plan and execute daily dispatches aligned with demand forecasts and sales priorities. Liaise with transporters and delivery staff to minimize delays and prevent product damage. Monitor vehicle turnaround times and key delivery performance indicators to ensure efficiency.
Cost & Budget Control:
Monitor and control operational expenses related to warehousing, transportation, and material handling. Drive cost efficiency through effective resource planning and vendor management.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, safety policies, and statutory regulations. Maintain comprehensive operational reports covering inventory status, cash collections, and dispatch records. Support audit processes and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Team Management:
Lead and train warehouse, dispatch, and administrative teams. Develop staffing schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a distribution environment, preferably in FMCG or a similar high-volume sector.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Basic knowledge of financial reconciliation processes.

Compensation and Work Details
- Gross monthly salary ranging from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 250,000.
- Additional benefits include car rental, health insurance, and quarterly incentives.
