Procurement Officer

Job Summary
The Baron – Pakistan is seeking a proactive and experienced Procurement Officer to join our growing team based in Multan. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid background in procurement, particularly within civil contracting or infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely procurement of materials, and maintaining seamless coordination between suppliers and internal departments. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and manage a reliable network of vendors and suppliers to meet project demands effectively.
- Process purchase orders promptly and ensure the timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement documentation, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and contracts.
- Oversee invoice reconciliation and payment processing, ensuring all financial records are complete and accurate.
- Collaborate closely with stores and other relevant departments to monitor inventory levels and promptly address any quality or supply issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with procurement policies and standards, including adherence to Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) principles.
- Uphold internal control procedures to maintain transparency and accountability throughout the procurement cycle.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on procurement experience, preferably within civil contracting, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with procurement software tools is a plus and will be considered an advantage.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to travel or relocate within Pakistan as required by operational demands.
