Job Summary
A prominent and diversified conglomerate headquartered in Lahore is seeking an accomplished and experienced professional to join as Manager Internal Audit (Head of Department). This pivotal role involves overseeing the internal audit function across multiple group entities, ensuring strong governance, effective risk management, and robust internal control systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in protecting the organization’s assets and reputation by identifying risks and driving continuous improvements in internal processes. Key Responsibilities
The Manager Internal Audit will lead and manage the internal audit activities across all group companies, ensuring a consistent and comprehensive approach to risk assessment and control evaluation. This includes identifying and assessing key business risks and ensuring these are mitigated through effective internal controls. The role requires developing, implementing, and continuously monitoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical operational functions to maintain high standards of compliance and efficiency.
Planning and executing detailed internal audits in accordance with established audit standards is a core responsibility. The incumbent will prepare thorough audit reports that clearly highlight findings and provide actionable recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors. Ensuring strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies is essential.
Additionally, the Manager Internal Audit will coordinate and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as required, facilitating smooth audit processes and regulatory inspections. A key part of the role is to promote a culture of strong ethics and internal control throughout the organization, encouraging transparency and accountability at all levels.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or an equivalent credential. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in internal audit is required, preferably within a large group or conglomerate setting.
The ideal candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, compliance frameworks, and SOP development. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with proven leadership capabilities to effectively manage teams and influence stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to present audit findings clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated ability to identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements is critical to success in this role.
