Job Summary
Horti Club, a prominent leader in horticulture and landscape development, is seeking a General Manager to lead its Lahore sub-office operations. This exclusive opportunity is open only to retired Army Colonels who have retired in 2019 or later. The successful candidate will be entrusted with overseeing all facets of the company’s operations, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and meet the highest quality standards. This role requires a seasoned leader with extensive command and administrative experience, capable of fostering discipline, coordination, and operational excellence while upholding the company’s ethical values.

Key Responsibilities
The General Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Lahore sub-office. This includes supervising project execution, workforce management, logistics, and administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The role demands strict adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks, guaranteeing that all landscape development projects meet client expectations.

Developing, implementing, and enforcing company policies, systems, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency is a critical part of the role. The General Manager will coordinate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall performance and productivity, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.

Financial oversight is another key responsibility, involving budget monitoring, report preparation, and maintaining the financial health of operational units. Building and sustaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders is essential to support business growth and reputation.

The General Manager will also present strategic and performance reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to guide company direction. Maintaining organizational discipline, professional conduct, and high ethical standards across all teams is paramount.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must be retired Army Colonels who have retired in 2019 or later—this criterion is mandatory. A minimum of 20 years of service in the armed forces, including significant command and administrative experience, is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills, along with excellent communication abilities.

The role also demands the capacity to handle crisis situations effectively, demonstrating calm and decisive decision-making under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Familiarity with civil, landscape, or project-based industries will be considered an advantage. A Master’s degree is preferred, reflecting a commitment to advanced knowledge and professional development. Candidates with at least five years of general management experience will be given preference.

The position requires a willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to oversee projects and operations. The salary starts at Rs. 150,000 per month and is negotiable based on experience and interview performance. Additional company perks and allowances are provided in accordance with company policy.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in Lahore, requiring the General Manager’s physical presence at the sub-office and project sites.
