Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled software professional with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our Hyderabad-based team. This role centers on creatively developing applications by selecting the most effective technical solutions to improve development, maintenance, and overall performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting designs, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and communicating progress. They will validate results with users and integrate solutions seamlessly. A strong focus is placed on reusing proven solutions to optimize efficiency, cost, and quality, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves setting and reviewing goals for both self and team members, adhering to engineering standards, and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop applications and features in line with design specifications while strictly following coding standards, templates, and checklists. Create and review comprehensive documentation including design documents, test cases, and other deliverables to maintain clarity and consistency.
Define and enforce configuration management plans, ensuring full compliance by the team. Review and create unit test cases, assist testing teams, and clarify requirements to guarantee quality and accuracy.
Provide guidance to software developers on design and development matters, leveraging a deep understanding of the client’s business domain. Manage the delivery of modules and user stories, conduct defect root cause analysis, and implement improvements to enhance quality.
Estimate project efforts accurately and contribute to knowledge management by sharing and reviewing project documentation. Execute and monitor release processes, and actively participate in high-level and low-level design and architecture discussions for applications and components.
Engage directly with customers to clarify requirements, present design options, and conduct product demonstrations. Lead and mentor team members by setting clear goals, offering constructive feedback, understanding individual aspirations, and maintaining high engagement levels.
Pursue relevant domain and technology certifications to continually enhance expertise. Effectively communicate design and development progress to customers, simplify complex problems, and develop user interfaces and business components.
Manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure, facilitate planning activities, and build customer confidence by consistently delivering quality solutions on time. Collaborate with cross-functional teams while upholding high standards of business communication and professional etiquette.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have 5 to 7 years of software development experience with proficiency in multiple programming languages and skill clusters. A strong grasp of the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is essential.
Expertise in functional and technical design, database management systems, operating systems, and software platforms is required. Experience with modeling technologies, interface definition languages, and a solid understanding of customer domains—particularly banking, finance, or life sciences—is highly valued.
Demonstrated ability to estimate time and effort for development and debugging, perform testing in target environments, and make swift technical decisions is critical. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to mentor and manage teams effectively, are necessary for success.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with over 7 years of experience in Big Data engineering, specializing in data-intensive applications and data pipeline optimization, will be preferred. Expertise in AWS, PySpark, Hadoop ecosystems, and big data frameworks is highly desirable.
Experience in data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration within banking, finance, or life sciences domains will be an advantage.
