Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts and Finance Officer to join our team and support daily accounting and banking operations. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting with bank-related tasks, reconciling financial data, maintaining accurate records within ERP systems, managing vendor payments, and preparing documentation as directed by management. This position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments to ensure seamless financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Banking Operations:
You will assist in preparing essential bank documents such as letters, deposit slips, and fund transfer requests. The role involves visiting banks to deposit cheques, submit documents, and carry out routine banking activities. Coordination with bank representatives is crucial to ensure timely and efficient completion of banking tasks. Maintaining detailed records of all bank-related transactions and communications is also a key responsibility.
Accounts Management:
Supporting the senior Accounts & Finance team, you will help maintain accurate records of all financial transactions. This includes assisting with monthly bank reconciliations to verify consistency between bank statements and company records. You will also contribute to preparing financial summaries, reports, and related documentation as required by management.
Vendor Payments:
You will assist in preparing vendor payment schedules and compiling the necessary supporting documents. Coordination with procurement and administration teams to collect invoice details and approvals is essential. Maintaining updated vendor account records and helping resolve any discrepancies will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will ensure proper documentation and filing of payment records for internal tracking and audit compliance.
Documentation & Support:
Under the guidance of the Finance Manager, CFO, or senior personnel, you will prepare various company-related documents. Maintaining organized filing and documentation of financial records to support audit and compliance requirements is critical. You will also provide assistance during audits by compiling necessary documentation and data.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts or finance roles, preferably with exposure to banking operations.
- Practical experience working with ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally for banking and official documentation purposes.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- ACCA or ICMAP qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- MBA in Finance with at least 5 years of experience.
- Experience in a corporate finance or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with local banking procedures and documentation.
