Job Summary
Balqees Welfare Foundation (BWF), founded by Mr. and Mrs. Akhtar, is a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding vulnerable groups in Pakistan, including youth, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and those experiencing financial difficulties. Supported by corporate partners Supertouch (Private) Ltd – Pakistan and Allied International Trading Ltd – UK, BWF focuses on public welfare and relief initiatives. We are currently seeking a dependable and well-organized Store Incharge to manage construction materials, tools, and inventory at our high-rise building project site in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in construction storekeeping, possess strong inventory management capabilities, and demonstrate effective coordination skills with procurement and site teams to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise records of all incoming and outgoing construction materials and tools.
- Receive deliveries, inspect items thoroughly, and verify them against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and store materials systematically in designated areas, prioritizing safety and easy accessibility.
- Issue materials to site personnel as required, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
- Monitor stock levels continuously and prepare timely requisitions to replenish inventory.
- Implement control measures to minimize material wastage, prevent damage, and reduce theft risks.
- Collaborate closely with procurement teams, project engineers, and subcontractors to guarantee the timely availability of materials.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, stock reconciliations, and checks to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain detailed logs for tools and equipment, ensuring all items remain in good working condition.
- Generate and submit daily and weekly stock reports to project management for review and decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma; a diploma or certification in Store or Inventory Management or a related field is considered an advantage.
- Between 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar storekeeping role within a construction environment, preferably on high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, site logistics, and inventory control processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with inventory management software such as ERP systems or Tally.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and perform well under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and record-keeping accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
