Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Team Lead will supervise and guide a team of Medical Billing Associates, fostering high performance and strict adherence to company protocols. They will oversee all aspects of revenue cycle management, including charge entry, claims submissions, payment posting, and follow-up processes. Regular team meetings will be conducted to share updates, resolve operational challenges, and ensure seamless workflow.

Monitoring team performance metrics is essential, with the responsibility to implement improvement plans when necessary. The role requires ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations governing billing operations. Additionally, the Assistant Team Lead will develop and deliver training programs for both new hires and existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Analyzing operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement is a key function, with findings and recommendations reported to the Assistant Manager or Manager of Operations. This role demands proactive problem-solving and continuous process enhancement to support organizational goals.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of revenue cycle management (RCM) processes and best practices. Proven leadership and team management experience are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems effectively is critical.

Strong analytical skills are required to interpret data and drive operational improvements. Experience with medical billing software and related tools is necessary, coupled with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Candidates must be able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.

Educational requirements include a minimum of Intermediate level education in any field. Preferred candidates will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in customer support, sales, or related areas. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory. Technical proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), RingCentral, and Avaya/Cisco IP Phones is also required.

This position operates during U.S. business hours (6:00 PM – 3:00 AM PST), so availability for night shifts is essential.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Prior experience in the U.S. healthcare industry is advantageous. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in fields such as BBA, MBA, BSCS, BS, M.Sc., MS, or related disciplines is preferred. Candidates with at least 3+ years in RCM operations and 1-2 years in a supervisory role will be given priority.
