To support effective implementation of project activities through community mobilization, participatory capacity needs assessments, awareness creation, and facilitation of community-driven planning processes. The Community Mobilizers will strengthen community engagement, support formation of outreach groups, conduct baseline assessments, and promote ownership of project interventions at grassroots level in District Pishin.
Responsibilities
Community Mobilization & Outreach:
- Mobilize communities in target Union Councils for active participation in project activities
- Ensure inclusion of women, youth, and marginalized groups in all processes
- Facilitate formation and strengthening of community outreach groups
- establishment and formalization of 96 Community Outreach Groups
Participatory Capacity Needs Assessment:
- Conduct participatory capacity and needs assessments in target communities
- Identify key gaps, vulnerabilities, and priority intervention areas
- Document findings in structured formats for planning and reporting
Awareness Raising & Community Engagement:
- Conduct awareness sessions on project interventions and objectives
- Disseminate key messages to improve understanding of project benefits
- Promote behavioral change and community participation
Community Action Planning (CAPs):
- Facilitate development of Community Action Plans (CAPs) with groups
- Support prioritization of needs and identification of practical solutions
- Ensure CAPs are inclusive and context-specific
Beneficiary Selection, Group Formation & Baseline:
- Support selection of beneficiaries for community outreach groups
- Facilitate formation and organization of groups at community level
- Conduct FFS baseline data collection for selected groups
- Support development of Group Action Plans (GAPs)
Resource Mapping:
- Conduct participatory mapping of local resources and services
- Identify community assets and document gaps
- Support integration of findings into planning processes
Coordination & Reporting:
- Coordinate with field teams, local leaders, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate field records, attendance sheets, and documentation
- Submit timely and quality field reports to supervisor
Compliance & Safeguarding:
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and safeguarding standards
- Promote gender-sensitive, inclusive, and participatory approaches
- Perform any other task assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Intermediate; Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related field preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization or development project
- Experience in participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools and field assessments
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Willingness to work in remote rural field conditions with extensive travel
- Strong commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and community empowerment
