Join Our Team as a ISP NOC Engineer!

Global Connect Synergy Pvt. Ltd. (GCS), based in PECHS, Karachi, is seeking a motivated Senior Network Engineer to join its Network Operations team. This role offers hands-on experience in managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise and ISP network infrastructure. Candidates will work in a professional ISP environment, gaining valuable exposure to network operations centers (NOC), service delivery, and infrastructure management. The position requires working in 24/7 rotational shifts and is open to both male and female candidates residing in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices across Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 technologies.
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of ISP network infrastructure, including performing configuration changes and upgrades.
- Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and service health; analyze alarms, logs, and alerts to identify and resolve outages and connectivity issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and ensure timely incident resolution.
- Participate actively in 24/7 NOC operations, handling network incidents, escalating issues as needed, and coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and customers for service restoration.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and network activities, following standard operating procedures and escalation protocols.
- Support basic network security measures, including firewall and access control operations, while assisting in identifying network bottlenecks and optimizing performance.
- Help maintain network reliability, stability, and overall service quality.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in ISP, NOC, Telecom, or Enterprise Network environments preferred. Fresh graduates or interns with strong networking fundamentals may also be considered for junior roles.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as OSI and TCP/IP models, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, ARP, DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT, and routing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3.
- CCNA-level knowledge and practical experience is mandatory.
- Basic familiarity with static and dynamic routing, OSPF, BGP, network monitoring tools, firewall concepts, network security principles, and ISP/NOC operations.

- Salary for Senior Network Engineer ranges from PKR 50,000 to 100,000, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Fresh graduates and interns may receive PKR 30,000 to 40,000, reflecting their foundational knowledge and eagerness to learn.
