Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC) is a respected humanitarian and healthcare organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of vulnerable communities through quality healthcare, rehabilitation, and social inclusion. We are currently looking for a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Rehabilitation Center located in Larkana. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s financial operations to ensure transparency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounting documentation.
- Prepare vouchers, receipts, payment records, and perform bank reconciliations.
- Process payments and manage cash and bank transactions efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure adherence to organizational financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain fixed asset records along with supporting financial documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits to facilitate smooth processes.
- Prepare statutory deductions and maintain payroll-related records where applicable.
- Perform any other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare or NGO sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within the team.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Fluency in Urdu is required; proficiency in English will be considered an advantage.
- Salary range is competitive, between Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month.
- The position is based in Karachi and requires in-person attendance at the workplace.
- Candidates with three years of experience in accounting and finance, including advanced MS Excel skills, will be preferred.
