Jr. Android Developer

HyperSoft Tech is a forward-thinking technology company looking to hire a motivated Junior Android Developer to join our on-site team. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about Android development and interested in leveraging AI-powered coding tools to solve technical challenges. The successful candidate will play a key role in building, maintaining, and enhancing Android applications while collaborating closely with experienced developers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve existing Android applications by fixing bugs and implementing minor features.
- Utilize AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude, or similar tools to aid development and debugging efforts.
- Review, test, and validate AI-generated code to ensure it meets quality, functionality, and maintainability standards.
- Follow established project architecture, coding standards, and best development practices.
- Develop and enhance applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, XML/Jetpack Compose, and Android Studio.
- Support Git workflows, application testing, and release processes.
- Document code changes, track development progress, and communicate technical issues or blockers effectively.

Required Qualifications
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience in Android development.
- Basic knowledge of Kotlin and Android application development principles.
- Familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, and the Android project structure.
- Understanding of core Android components including Activities, Fragments, UI layouts, and the Android lifecycle.
- Basic experience with Git and version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants for code generation, debugging, or development support.
- Ability to comprehend existing codebases, identify issues, and implement effective fixes.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVVM/MVI and Clean Architecture is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs, Retrofit, Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, and dependency injection frameworks is advantageous.
- Experience maintaining existing applications or using AI tools to assist with debugging and code development will be viewed favorably.

- Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, based at our office in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi, Punjab.
