Jr. Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections of civil works, products, and installations to verify conformity with specifications, drawings, and inspection test plans (ITPs). Conduct inspections independently on well-defined or isolated assets with minimal supervision. Apply relevant inspection techniques and procedures to identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are taken. Interpret structural, architectural, and layout drawings, method statements, and inspection procedures accurately. Prepare detailed inspection reports, including non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams. Promote Bureau Veritas’ service portfolio and ensure compliance with the company’s quality system. Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, including the authority to stop unsafe work and report hazards or incidents promptly. Participate actively in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage essential business documentation such as invoicing and timesheets in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
0 to 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on inspection of buildings, roads, equipment, and installations.
Basic knowledge of inspection techniques and the ability to carry out inspections under supervision.
Familiarity with international testing and design standards and codes.
Ability to understand and interpret drawings, inspection procedures, and quality plans.
Competent in performing, validating, and witnessing site testing activities.
Awareness of contractual requirements related to inspection activities.
Strong communication skills to maintain effective client relationships and internal coordination.
Commitment to safety, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to HSE protocols.
