Junior Buyer

Ocean Quest Inc is seeking a Junior Buyer to join their supply chain team within the food industry. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to build a career in procurement and supply chain management. The Junior Buyer will play a crucial role in sourcing food products from both local and international suppliers, supporting the procurement process, and ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, warehouse, and logistics teams. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing food products from local and international suppliers to meet company needs.
- Support the procurement team by preparing purchase orders, obtaining quotations, and following up with vendors to ensure timely responses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, shipment statuses, and supplier contracts.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics departments to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with food safety standards and import/export documentation requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Food Sciences, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting. Knowledge of ERP systems is considered an advantage.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

Location
The position is based in Karachi, specifically at A-106 Hunaid City, Gulistan-e-Joher Block 17, near Baluchistan Sajji Hotel.
