Junior Counsel

We are seeking a skilled legal professional to join our team, responsible for drafting and managing contracts, supporting legal compliance, and providing proactive legal advice. The role involves collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the company’s legal rights are fully protected, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle complex legal matters efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft and finalize agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s legal interests.
- Support Legal Counsel in managing the contract repository and assist with the implementation of contract life cycle management systems.
- Engage in negotiations with internal business units, regulators, external counsel, and public authorities to facilitate smooth legal processes.
- Apply risk management techniques and provide proactive advice on potential legal issues to mitigate risks.
- Clarify legal language and specifications for various departments within the organization.
- Conduct ongoing legal research to stay informed about changes in legislation and case law, updating counsel on any developments that may impact the company.
- Assist Legal and Compliance Counsel in investigations and help implement the Business Integrity program within Pakistan.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Relevant work experience within the legal sector.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
