Junior Data Analyst

Core Edge Solutions is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst with 6 months to 1 year of experience to join their team in Gulberg, Lahore. This is an on-site position requiring availability for the night shift from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel skills, good communication abilities, and a keen interest in data management, reporting, and process automation. Candidates should be comfortable working with datasets, cleaning and organizing data, and preparing reports. A willingness to learn new tools and improve existing workflows is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean, organize, validate, and maintain datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare Excel-based reports, dashboards, and structured data summaries.
- Utilize Excel formulas and advanced features such as Pivot Tables, Power Query, and dynamic arrays for efficient data analysis.
- Assist in automating repetitive tasks using VBA macros, including loops and error handling.
- Extract, transform, and consolidate data from multiple sources.
- Support basic SQL queries and Power BI reporting tasks, including data connections and simple visualizations.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicate records, and missing values.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect, verify, and organize data.
- Contribute to improvements in reporting workflows and data management processes.

Required Qualifications

- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Pivot Tables, Power Query, Conditional Formatting, and Data Validation
- Formulas such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested IF, SUMIF, COUNTIF, and IFERROR
- Text and date functions, dynamic arrays
- Experience in data cleaning and management, including:
- Data deduplication, handling missing or NULL values
- Flash Fill, Text to Columns, and data standardization
- Maintaining clean, accurate, and structured datasets
- Basic technical skills:
- VBA macros for automation
- Power Query web imports and basic data scraping (HTML parsing is a plus)
- Basic SQL knowledge covering SELECT, WHERE, JOINs, GROUP BY, aggregate functions, and CRUD operations
- Basic Power BI skills for creating and publishing reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently and maintain data accuracy.
- Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting concepts.
- Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and automation methods.
